‘Assessment’ is basically getting to know children.
The purpose of assessments is to promote student learning,
provide information about student learning and contribute to the successful implementation of the programme
Through assessment, the teachers identify what students know, understand, can do and value at different stages in the teaching and learning process.
There are 4 periodic assessments in an academic year:
April/May – Periodic Assessment -1
July/Aug – Periodic Assessment -2
Oct/Nov- Periodic Assessment -3
Dec/Jan- Periodic Assessment -4
There are two summative assessments in a year:
Sept – Summative Assessment -1
March – Summative Assessment -2
