‘Assessment’ is basically getting to know children.
The purpose of assessments is to promote student learning,
provide information about student learning and contribute to the successful implementation of the programme
Through assessment, the teachers identify what students know, understand, can do and value at different stages in the teaching and learning process.
There are 4 cycles in an Academic year:
JULY -Pre mid / Periodic Assessment
SEP -Half yearly / Term 1 end
DEC -Post mid / Periodic assessment
MAR –Final / Term 2 end
Each Academic year has two terms:
Term I – April to September
Term II – October to March
